Financial Aid for Service celebrates the General Assembly’s Living Missionally initiative by seeking service program partners for a service loan program. Why do we need partners? We don’t want to create service opportunities — we want to support the diverse array of service opportunities that are available through Presbyterian churches, camps and conference centers, and colleges by incentivizing service for Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) members. Financial Aid for Service will provide Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) participants with up to $250 a month (not to exceed 12 months) in loan assistance payments, made payable to the participant’s loan servicer, as well as tips …
The Office of Financial Aid for Studies is partnering with other Presbyterian Mission Agency offices to provide debt assistance to volunteer service project participants. Participants may receive up to $250 of assistance with student loan payments for up to 12 months while the applicant is in service. In order to receive $250 per month, the borrower must have a loan balance in excess of $25,000.
